Dr. Venkata Sesha Giridhar Akula, Director - BRIG

Dr. Venkata Sesha Giridhar Akula is recognized for his strong academic leadership, research contributions, and commitment to engineering education, especially in Telangana. He has played a significant role in shaping academic programs, mentoring students, and promoting research culture in engineering institutions.
Dr. Giridhar is presently working as Professor and Director at Brilliant Grammar School Educational Society's Group of Institutions – Integrated Campus (BRIG), a UGC Autonomous institution with NAAC ‘A’ Grade. Prof. Giridhar completed his B.E. and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTU. He has a total of 32 years of teaching experience, 16 years of research and 2 years of industry experience. He has published more than 132 papers in national and international journals and has authored 9 textbooks and 12 book chapters.
He serves as a reviewer for 27 international journals (IEEE, ETASR etc) and is a member of the editorial board of 19 international journals. Dr. Giridhar is also the Director of the International Association of Journals and Conferences.
He is the recipient of the Best Computer Science Teacher Award in 2010 and 2012. He was conferred with the Dr. Raja Rambapu Patil’s Best Promising Engineering College Teacher National Award in 2013 and the Best Engineering College Principal of Telangana Award. He is a member of the NAAC Peer Team and serves as an AICTE Margdarshak. He has supervised 6 Ph.D. scholars and is currently supervising 4 more.
