Head of the Department - M Pharmacy - Pharmaceutical Analysis
Dr. CHAMAKURI KANTLAM is the Principal, Professor and Head of the Department of M Pharmacy - Pharmaceutical Analysis at Brilliant Grammar School Educational Society’s Group of Institutions – Integrated Campus (Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Pharmacy) - BRIG-IC.
Dr. Ch. Kantlam obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from Shadan College of Pharmacy, JNTUH University, Hyderabad in 2003. He then completed his Masters Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from SRM University, Chennai in 2007 and Doctorate of Philosophy from JNTUK University, Kakinada in 2017 for his research conducted with title “Synthesis, Characterization and Pharmacological Evaluation of some novel derivatives of Hydrazones, Chalcones and Mannich Bases.” He was felicitated with “Ist PLACE BEST POSTER AWARD” in 66th INDIAN PHARMACEUTICAL CONGRESS (IPC) Held at Hitex, Hyderabad, Telangana State, India, from 23rd to 25th, January 2015. For the research paper entitled, “Synthesis, Characterization and Antibacterial Activity of Some Novel Mannich Derivatives Derived from (E)-3-(benzofuran-2-yl)-1- (4-hydroxy-3-methoxy phenyl)-prop-2-en-1-one.”
He has conducted various seminars, workshops and also has participated in several National Conferences and International Conferences.
In his 17 years of career, Dr Ch Kantlam worked with many renowned Pharmacy Colleges. Starting with SRR College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Warangal in education field, he worked for Unity College of Pharmacy, Bhongiri, Prathishta Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Suryapet, Venkateswara Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nalgonda and Netaji Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Toopranpet, Yadadribuvanagiri. He has been associated with Brilliant Grammar School Educational Society’s Group of Institutions – Integrated Campus (Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Pharmacy) since 2021.
He has been serving as a Vice President, APTI- Telangana State Branch for the period of 2022-2027 and is a Life Member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI).
His area of Research includes Drug Design, Synthesis, Characterization and Pharmacological Evaluation and Analytical Method Development and Validation of various pharmaceutical dosage forms. He has published 7 papers in National and International Journals. Also, he has presented 10 papers in various conferences. He is the Editorial Board Member and the Reviewer for Journal " International Journal of Advanced Research in Technology and Management Sciences " and the reviewer for Journals "Medicinal Chemistry Research (Impact factor: 2.345 (ISSN: 1054-2523))" .
He was the Chairperson in conducting Scientific Session and in the conference conducted by Netaji Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2016. He worked as Committee Member, Evaluator, Co-Convener and Convener in several National Level Symposiums’s conducted in various colleges he worked. He is a Member, Governing Body of reputed Institutions. He is an examiner and paper setter for B.Pharmacy and M.Pharmacy courses of various Universities.
He is recognized by BEST Innovation University to guide PhD candidates. He has been guiding 6 projects in PhD Level. Under the able guidance of Dr. Ch. Kantlam, 24 projects have been completed in UG and PG Level.
With a vast experience in educating young Pharmacists, Dr. Ch. Kantlam has been contributing a lot in taking Brilliant Grammar School Educational Society’s Group of Institutions – Integrated Campus (Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Pharmacy) to new heights. Pharmacists graduating from our college will be proficient and skilled in conducting their practice with a high level of maturity and leadership, and be able to carry out practice-related projects.
