A seasoned academic and a dedicated professional, Dr. Mitta Venkat Reddy serves as the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Brilliant Grammar School Educational Society's Group of Institutions - Integrated Campus. With a rich blend of over 32 years of teaching and industrial experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the institution.
Dr. M. Venkat Reddy earned his Ph.D. from Osmania University and holds an M. Tech (CAD/CAM) with First Division from JNTU, Hyderabad. His extensive career includes significant roles as a Professor and Head of the Mechanical and Civil Engineering Departments at TKR College of Engineering and Technology, as well as an Associate Professor at DVR College of Engineering and Technology. He also has valuable industrial experience from his time as an Assistant Manager at Sagar Cements Ltd..
As an academician, Dr. M. Venkat Reddy has guided numerous B. Tech and M. Tech projects. He is a prolific researcher with several papers published in prestigious international journals, including the Journal of Alloys and Compounds (published in ELSEVIER) and the Journal of Low-carbon Materials and Green Construction (published in Springer). His paper on "Numerical Analysis of Rubber Assisted Sheet Hydro-forming Process and its Experimental Verification" earned him a Best Paper Certificate.
Dr. M. Venkat Reddy has handled a wide range of subjects, from foundational concepts like Engineering Drawing and Machine Tools Engineering to advanced topics such as Computer-Aided Manufacturing and Power Plant Engineering. He has been instrumental in establishing key laboratories, including the Machine Tools Lab, CAD/CAM Lab, and Production Technology Lab, contributing significantly to the department's infrastructure.
A life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW), Dr. M. Venkat Reddy is deeply committed to academic excellence and continuous professional development. His expertise and leadership are invaluable assets to the Mechanical Engineering Department and the entire Brilliant Grammar School Educational Society's Group of Institutions.
